NURSE PRACTITIONERS
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Australia is a highly qualified registered nurse who has completed advanced clinical training and holds a Master’s degree. Nurse Practitioners are endorsed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and are authorised to:
-
Assess and diagnose health conditions
-
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
-
Prescribe medications
-
Develop and manage treatment plans
This means you can access comprehensive, professional healthcare without long delays, while still being supported in a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment.
In Australia, Nurse Practitioners follow national guidelines, ensuring they deliver safe, high-quality patient-centred care. Beyond direct clinical care, Nurse Practitioners also contribute to clinical research, education, and leadership, supporting both individual patient outcomes and the ongoing development of health services.
